Gear type: Tyres
Brand(s): Maxxis
Model: High Rolllers
Price paid: € 30

Where purchased: The one and only Bike Rack Cabinteely
How long in use: 2 years
Pros: Square profile on the front with excellent side knobblies boost confidence on descents..and the centre knobs
work deadly when you have to stop in a hurry.
On the back they work the same way for stopping and i've never had any issues with grip on climbs.
Cons: They're tyres with big knobbles. Whats wrong with that ?

Pros: Buy these and you won't have to think about tyres again. Fit and forget, year round tyre with outstanding grip in most conditions, no punctures in three years of riding, I swapped these for lighter XC tyres and punctured twice in 10 minutes, then put the High Rollers back on. Go for 60a as opposed to faster wearing, more 'draggy' 42a compound.
Cons: A bit heavy and can be slow to shed in muddy conditions, but that's why they invented Swampthings.
